Looking ahead, Flanagan’s next project could potentially be with HBO Max. During the Toronto FanExpo, he expressed interest in working within the DC universe when asked about a possible collaboration. He shared his admiration for James Gunn, indicating that he would relish the opportunity to contribute to this expansive world. James Gunn is set to formally launch his new DC universe on July 11 next year with the release of Superman.
Nevertheless, enthusiasts can catch an early glimpse of this universe beginning in December with the debut of the animated series Creature Commandos. Given Flanagan’s talent for storytelling, many are curious if he could bring his unique flair to the DC universe, whether through a series or a film.
