mail brings Gmail-only view, Storage used indicator, and Material You redesign to its mobile version. Meanwhile, there will be changes you can expect for the Web version. There will be no default white background on the Material You redesign. It looks like the company is trying to change its design to a more advanced one.

Both Android and iOS users will be able to check out the new Storage used indicator in the future. Apart from that, Material You will remove the default white color on the background in the web version. Now it will have a blue color. The new interface will allow users to decide upon the apps they want to see there.

Google is working on the changes for its long-lasting email service Gmail. There will be changes for the mobile app, as well as for the web. The major changes will be connected to the design of the program. According to the source, the company is planning to change the standard white background we used to use in the web’s version of Gmail into the blue one. There will be several shades of the same color. The background will be light blue, while the menu and all the icons of tools will defer by darker shades. Emails will be painted in blue color, apparently, and all the unread messages will have white marks on them.

Apart from that, there are changes coming to the interface of Gmail. Those users who have Chat, Meet, or Gmail services in daily use will be able to bring the apps into the quick settings. You will be able to decide which apps you need most and which you want to have just one tap away from you. You may leave only Gmail for your convenience. If you don’t like the new design, you can always change it for the old one.
