ince the epic lawsuit between Epic and Apple resulted in Fortnite gone from App Store, players missed this iconic game on their iPhones and iPads. The only way to play the game officially is now streaming through GeForce NOW. Since January 2022, it’s been in beta testing, and many fans are already curious about how it performs.

Does Fortnite on GeForce NOW support gamepads? This is the question that worries many players on iOS that appreciate the full support of Xbox and PlayStation accessories. As for Fortnite on GeForce NOW, the support is as great as can be. It’s especially great given that on iOS GeForce NOW only works in a browser, as there is no official GeForce app. Like all the games on streaming services, Fortnite requires fast ping and solid bandwidth. The response is nearly as fast as one could expect, the overall experience similar to that on Nintendo Switch.

GeForce Now provides Full HD resolution at 60 FPS, which is more than enough for an iPhone or an iPad. This quality is available on both paid and free accounts. The difference between them is about direct connection, which may affect bandwidth and ping, and session length: up to 6 hours versus one. There is, though, almost no difference between ping and response on both plans.

How soon will Fortnite on GeForce be available for everyone? It’s not clear yet, but GeForce subscribers can sign up for the waitlist. You will be notified when you are invited as a tester or when the game finally goes public. It’s not clear yet when it will happen, and Apple clearly stated that it doesn’t welcome Epic Games back on App Store, so you still better sign up and wait for your turn.

Have you ever played Fortnite with GeForce NOW on any platform? Does it perform well? And do you hope that it will work as well in Safari on iOS? Let’s share our impressions in our comments!
