ouTube music has a new update with new features for its app on Google’s Wear OS. This new update is supposed to have a new feature that allows users to browse their favorite tracks directly from the app's home screen.

You may be wondering what is Wear OS?

The quick answer is that it is a Google operating system for google’s wearable devices such as watches, etc. It is a revamped version of the Android OS designed by Google. It is also compatible with iOS and various other smartwatch platforms.

What Are the Updates and Features for YouTube Wear OS App?

Google brought YouTube music to the platform following Wear OS 3’s release on the Galaxy Watch. Initially, YouTube music could only be accessed on the wear OS 3 watches, but due to changes made by Google, it can now be installed on devices with a Snapdragon wear processor, making it more available across a wider variety of devices.

Google is attempting to incorporate YouTube Music into its smartwatches and making these adjustments help to strengthen YouTube Music's place in the Wear OS platform. To do this, YouTube has released an update for its Wear OS app. This update makes the app appear as a tile on the Wear OS screen, it is very similar to the widgets found on the home screen of most Android devices.

Along with the new update, there is a preview image that illustrates how the YouTube music app's tile will look, it features what we assume is the background image with the title “Recently Played”. From what has been presented, we assume that YouTube music will be adding a shortcut to allow its users to access a recently played tracklist or album. That is all for now, we’ll bring you more updates when more information becomes available.
