hatsApp is working on a new stealth mode for its users. Although the way to hide your online visibility will be limited, it is a start. The company is trying to compete against one of its main competitors on the market, Telegram, which already have lots of privacy improvements to offer. Now, WhatsApp is closing the gap between the two of them.

Recently, it extended the size of the file you can send to your peers. You may now exchange 2GB files with each other. Moreover, you are able to host a group chat with up to 512 users in it. During the last three months, WhatsApp did its best to impress the audience and extend its number. As for privacy, it revealed the upcoming controls, which will provide the ability to hide the last seen information and profile pictures from other contacts. The company states that they are not done with privacy improvements yet, and they will create a new feature for users.

According to the main WhatsApp news tracker, WABetaInfo, the company is busy with the feature that will let all its users hide their online status from others. WABetaInfo even shared the screenshot that offers several details on the upcoming changes. The picture is made from the iOS phone, yet, the company claims there will be changes for Android phones too. Probably, the web version will also have equal features. There is the Last Seen menu picture where you can pick the way you want to be visible or not to other users. You may try the always visible status or change it to the Last Seen. Last Seen allows you to select the contacts that can see you, limit them, or hide the status from anyone. It is up to you. This feature is still in development.
