YouTube Music Will Soon be Available in Supervised Google Accounts

t has been almost a year since Google has announced that it will be creating a new supervised version of YouTube for older children who outgrew YouTube kids. Even though this app is still in development, Google has already announced that it will have YouTube Music integrated into it.  As soon as it is available, YouTube Music will be accessible by Android, iOS, and web users who have supervised accounts.

Parents, of course, will still have full control over the features available to their kids. This means that they will be able to decide what videos and music are available to their kids. These changes can be easily made by accessing the Google Family Link’s accounts settings.

According to Google, such changes were made based on the feedback provided by the people who use Family Link. Every child is unique, so it is important to custom tailor what they can and cannot view on the internet. Despite the fact that YouTube doesn’t allow posting any explicit content, many of the videos that can be found on this website are definitely not suitable for children. And to be honest, impressionable adults shouldn’t be viewing some of those videos either.

Google’s Family Link system allows not only to monitor but also to block certain inappropriate content. This concerns not only YouTube but other websites as well. Despite that, people still had lots of complaints about the system, since there was no way to filter music, which could paint a picture more graphic than most adult videos usually show.

As a result, parents were forced to buy a subscription to a different music streaming service for their kids, instead of using YouTube Music. Thankfully, this issue was finally addressed by Google.

Do you believe that not all music is appropriate to be listened to by children? Which artists do you believe cause the most harm and should be censored by the parents? Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
