he possibility of a sequel to Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is generating excitement. Although there hasn't been an official announcement, the anticipation is palpable. The most recent installment in the Apes saga achieved significant success, grossing nearly $400 million globally, and it appears the cast is eager to continue their roles.
In an update from San Diego Comic-Con, Freya Allan, who stars in the film, provided some optimistic hints. While discussing the potential for future projects, Allan hinted at having insider knowledge but stopped short of revealing details. Allan, who attended the event with co-star Peter Macon, playfully suggested that she knows more than she is letting on.
Macon expressed his hopes for a sequel, highlighting the compelling and complex conversations that could unfold. He pointed out the mixed emotions around his and Allan's characters, emphasizing the nuanced dynamics that audiences grapple with by the film's conclusion. Allan, resonating with Macon's sentiments, expressed her wish that viewers might eventually understand her character Mae's difficult choices.
The duo continued discussing the rich groundwork laid by the film for potential future narratives. Macon pondered intriguing hypothetical scenarios for the characters, contemplating what meaningful dialogues between key figures like Raka and Proximus Caesar might look like in a sequel. Allan expressed a quirky desire to take on additional roles through performance capture, having missed that experience in the current film.
