he recent developments in the world of esports have led to significant changes for various organizations. One noteworthy shift involves ENCE, a prominent Finnish esports entity, which has decided to step away from the competitive scene of Rainbow Six: Siege.
ENCE will not return to the Rainbow Six: Siege European Pro League, marking a substantial change in its esports involvement. This decision is rooted in business considerations, as clarified by the organization's CEO, who noted the difficulties in monetizing their R6 initiatives. They faced challenges in generating revenue from skin sales and partnership deals. As a result, a tough choice was made to temporarily withdraw from this competitive arena.
In his statement, the CEO highlighted that aligning with the R6Share partner team model is essential for any future engagement and investment in the R6 landscape, aiming to establish a stable operational framework moving forward.
Despite this exit, ENCE’s roster will still compete in the upcoming Malta Cyber Series VIII. However, the players are permitted to seek out new opportunities and may sign with different teams when the chance arises.
General manager shared thoughts on this decision, mentioning that plans don’t always unfold as anticipated. He expressed his personal desire for the team to continue in R6, acknowledging the team’s journey filled with both successes and hardships. They came close to qualifying for significant events but ultimately missed out. He expressed hope that the players would achieve the chance to qualify in the future, praising their character and professionalism.
