First Thoughts on Warcraft Arclight Rumble’s Beta

arcraft Arclight Rumble is yet to launch and is still in testing. However, even the first steps in this game show the developers were late with its launch by about a few years. Of course, the release of the main version will give us some improvements in the gameplay. Still, we can already draw certain conclusions about the quality of this actively advertised action strategy game.

The first thing that catches your eye is a very strong resemblance to Clash Royale. However, instead of exciting competitions with a crowd of other users, this project focuses on the single-player mode. At the same time, the main essence of the gameplay can be compared with the rock-paper-scissors approach. This mechanic is complemented by tower defense elements that you have to rely on quite heavily. So a good strategy should still be at the heart of your play.

The second thing that makes you question the game quality is the gameplay balance. You can buy new characters for the in-game currency, which is given to you for conquering new levels. Can’t pass them? You will not receive any money, which means you will not be able to get new characters and assemble a stronger team. If you re-pass locations, you will simply earn more experience points.

Warcraft Arclight creates the following situation. You go through the first five levels without any problems, run into a powerful boss, and lose because of a weak character. That’s because you don’t get enough experience points before that. All you have to do is grind. And it hasn’t added any fun to any game yet.

Excellent graphics could save a new project in the Warcraft universe. However, the freezing camera and 30 FPS look pretty dull. In general, we hope that all this will be fixed with the release of the final version. Have you had a chance to test Warcraft Arclight on Android? What are your thoughts?
