e all know the ability of Epic Games to increase the tension between them and any other app store. Although we are not here to judge any decisions and tough rules for developers of the App Store and Google Play Store, the good news is Fortnite is back for iOS owners. GeForce Now did a great job to run Fortnite’s version on Android and iOS as a touch-friendly version.
Nvidia has recently made an announcement on its collaboration with Epic Games. The project they are working on together allows players to enter the game with the help of GeForce Now. This app is already available on Google Play Store. As for the iOS owners, who had to struggle with the PC version, unavailable to download anything on their phones, now they can open the game via Safari browser. This way they can play it on iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
During the trials, Apple confirmed that there are no restrictions for developers who used Safari as the place for their projects. Nvidia and Microsoft were the first companies that took this announcement seriously and launched cloud-based game streaming services GeForce Now and xCloud. Epic was hesitant for some time, but now it works hard to provide iOS owners a chance to enjoy their favorite battle royale. The beta version was released on January 14, 2022. However, if you want to use it, you have to sign up for the waitlist. The requirements for players are simple, you have to create a GeForce account, no matter paid or free, and wait. Yet, there are limited invites, so not everyone can join the beta team. Don’t worry if you did not make it. Nvidia plans to bring multiple games to play via GeForce Now.
Have you already enrolled in this new beta testing? Will you play Fortnite via Safari? You can provide your own comments below the article.
