Nintendo Expands Amiibo Universe with Fresh Kirby, Metroid, and Super Mario Collectibles

his update highlights Nintendo’s latest expansion of its amiibo lineup during a recent Direct event in September 2025. The company has unveiled several new collectible figurines that will soon become available, aiming to reignite excitement despite a slight dip in previous demand.
The announcement covers three distinct series with seven new figures set to debut. Below are the details for each series:

Kirby Air Riders
Two new collectibles based on Kirby Air Riders have been introduced, featuring Kirby and an ally known as Bandana Waddle Dee. Each comes with its own stylized vehicle—the Warp Star and the Winged Star. Notably, the design allows for interchangeable pairings between the characters and the vehicles, hinting at possible future additions to enhance versatility. These items will be available alongside the game’s launch on November 20. -
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
In celebration of the new Retro Studios sequel scheduled to release on December 4, three amiibo figures inspired by the Metroid franchise are on the way. Two of these, featuring the heroine and her motorcycle companion, will hit stores on November 6. The third figure, representing a notable character named Sylux, is set to launch concurrently with the game on December 4. -
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Even though the remastered version of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 will be available on October 2, the Super Mario Galaxy series is also getting a special release in the form of two extra-large amiibo figures, which are approximately twice the usual size. These are scheduled for release on April 2, coinciding with the debut of the Super Mario Galaxy film in theaters. In addition, there will be real-life versions of Rosalina’s storybook and a talking flower inspired by Super Mario Bros. Wonder, though details regarding pricing and availability have not yet been shared.
