nstagram already owns a big part of social media networks on the Internet. Sharing photos and videos gave millions of people the chance to find their audiences and even build their own companies. After being bought by Meta, the app has been developing new ways for users to engage with creators. After adding Likes to the Stories, the company might have something even more exciting for us in store.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer who has his blog about investigating apps on the hints of future updates, has stated recently that Instagram might have voice replies to Stories in the near future. He presented a screenshot from Stories, and at the bottom of the replies, users can see a small microphone icon that could mean a quick arrival of a new feature.
Of course, we cannot say anything for sure without an official statement from Meta. Moreover, developers have a lot of ideas that could have been potentially implemented into the app but, for some reason, stayed left out. This might be the case of this occurrence. Nevertheless, if Instagram decides to actually bring the voice replies to its users, this feature will probably be greatly received.
Some comments have compared the discovery to the popular chat rooms on Twitter or Facebook, but currently, it looks more like a well-known feature from Snapchat. Until we know the actual news, we can only predict how this button can be used. What is important is that this voice replying seems like a great addition to the overall functions of the app. You can easily respond to your friends’ Stories while on your way somewhere or even if you don’t want to bother with typing.
Would you like to see this new update on your Stories? What other functions could Instagram possibly add to its app? Please, share your opinion in the comments below.
