he video-streaming service YouTube Premium is experiencing a significant increase in subscription prices in various regions including Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, as noted in social media discussions. In certain European nations, the cost of the ‘Single' plan has risen by approximately EUR 2 (about Rs. 186) and this adjustment also impacts the ‘Family' plan. This update follows the recent price increase implemented by the Google-owned platform in India just a month prior.

Users on platforms like Reddit have shared that they received emails from YouTube regarding the impending price adjustments. In specific European countries such as Belgium, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands, the cost for the Single plan has been modified from EUR 11.99 (approximately Rs. 1,100) to EUR 13.99 (around Rs. 1,300). Furthermore, the Family plan appears to have experienced an almost 40 percent increase, moving from EUR 17.99 (roughly Rs. 1,700) to EUR 25.99 (nearly Rs. 2,400).

Price increases have also been reported in countries such as Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Screenshots of communication from YouTube indicate that this decision is part of their initiative to enhance the Premium service and support the creators and artists viewed on the platform.

The updated pricing structure for YouTube Premium subscriptions in the affected regions is outlined as follows: Reports indicate that users who subscribe to YouTube Premium via Apple devices are facing even steeper price increases.
