Vanced Developers Address the Rumors Regarding the Failure of Their App

anced is an app that was created to basically allow its users to watch YouTube without the bother of ads popping up every few minutes. Recently its creators came out to announce that the app will no longer be available for download and for those who already downloaded it there would be no more updates.
Since the app was shut down however there have been several rumors swirling about possible reasons why the app was taken down. Some of the rumors are speculations about the apps takedown being related to NFTs, and some thought it might be related to accusations of supporting piracy due to its ad-blocking feature. There have also been rumors that the Vanced development team was Russian.
With all the rumors in the air, someone had to clear it up, so the team at Vanced sent an article to Telegraph which is an anonymous blogging platform. In the article, they explained to anyone who was having a hard time understanding the reason for the shutdown of the application.
They also cleared the rumors about some of the team being Russians or Ukrainians, and they said they had no links to either country. Additionally, they refuted the claims that the app may have contained certain illegal features.
The Vanced team said that the reason for the discontinuation of the app was due to legal reasons, specifically a cease and desist letter they got from Google.
The cease and desist letter accused Vanced of infringing on the YouTube brand and their YouTube logo which looks similar to the original YouTube logo. They were also asked to remove all download links for the app. So now the Vanced app has been deleted from app stores and the developers said they can’t offer an alternative way to get the app.
